Once you have submitted your Fianc Visa application, the INS legally has 120 days to process your petition. If all of your documentation is complete, the approval process is relatively speedy.

The Leo Wanta Saga, Pt. 28: White House Said Will Release Wanta $4.5 Trillion "When We Are G... Damn Ready!"

As pressure is being put on the White House by foreign banks and heads of state to release the $4.5 trillion Wanta money, Michael C. Cottrell, the treasurer of the company formed to distribute the money for the benefit of the American people, remains "highly optimistic the trillions will soon be released.

"Yes, we are encouraged we will get the money released soon," said Cottrell in a Wednesday telephone conversation. "There is a lot of pressure from around the world being put on the White House. The heat is being turned up and I just found out the Chinese have taken $5 trillion of the $32 trillion they are owed from the U.S. government. They are backing Ambassador Wanta and pushing for the release of his money."

Cottrell added that one of his inside sources in Washington D.C. recently notified him that officials in the White House said the following in response to Cottrell and Ambassador Wanta's request for the money:

"We will do it when we are G** damn ready!"

Wanta and Cottrell, who together formed AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc. to oversee proper distribution of the massive amount of money, were hoping the money would be released by the end of the business day on Sept. 7, the same day the Chinese were also to be paid trillions by the U.S. government for prior investment gains.

However, the deadline passed without the Wanta $4.5 trillion being paid and still being illegally withheld in a Clearing House Interbank Payment System credit account (CHIPS), an account credited to Goldman Sachs and Co. at Citibank.

In what has become known in international financial circles as one of the most important and explosive stories in the history of modern banking, the Wanta settlement has been the subject of a Bush administration cover-up ever since Ambassador Wanta entered into an official written agreement in November 2005 to repatriate money for the betterment of the American economy.

Further, in May Wanta verbally agreed to the distribution of the $4.5 trillion with President Bush along with the assistance of one Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) court judge and two U.S. Supreme Court Justices.

The settlement, also negotiated with the help of two major U.S. law firms, represents only a portion of the $27.5 trillion offshore fund established at the end of the Cold War, which is now under the legal control of Ambassador Wanta, as duly appointed trustor, a position given to him by former President Ronald Reagan.

In other financial ramifications concerning the failure of U.S. authorities to release the Wanta money, Christopher Story, editor of the International Currency Review in London, recently reported:

"Chinese interests, acting independently of Ambassador Leo Wanta and his business colleague Michael C. Cottrell, M.S., have 'pulled' five or six 'CHIPS' already. The Chinese are using the British pound for oil payments purposes. The pound is therefore likely to appreciate over the weeks ahead.

"Can someone please explain to the Editor of International Currency Review why it is that, seven weeks after we first published this information (also published in the Arctic Beacon), which anyone could check for themselves, the U.S. Treasury implemented the fantastic carousel financing arrangements that were described in the Editor's Posting dated 2nd September 2006 [subsequently updated], which use the 'assets' of some GSEs as collateral? It is as though Mr. Paulson (Sec. of U.S. Treasury) went to the cupboard, opened it, found it not only to be bare, but without walls and a floor, slammed the cupboard shut, and then represented to the world that the cupboard is full of food so that we can all eat and be merry for years to come.

"Nor is the phrase 'scraping the bottom of the barrel' appropriate, since the barrel has no bottom to scrape. No wonder the Chinese are using the pound for oil payments."

Cottrell recently said in a recent Arctic Beacon article that in lieu of nonpayment, Ambassador Wanta "has already lowered the hammer," notifying the major banks in Europe, save Deutsche Bank, who have all agreed to put "stop orders" on any transactions with the U.S. government of $100 million or more.

"Most of the major banks in Europe other than Deutsche Bank have already agreed to the stop orders based on the failure to pay Ambassador Wanta," said Cottrell, including Credit Swiss and UBS. "We have asked the Chinese but I have not heard confirmation that they will go ahead and pull the $32 trillion owed in CHIPS. However, given that President Bush and Paulson cut a deal with Viet Nam and Taiwan whether the Chinese pull the CHIPS is irrelevant because they now have a cash flow through the system that allows them to stash more money away.

"What is most aggravating to me is that the President of the United States and the Secretary of the Treasury have made a deal with a communist country to circumvent an American company from paying taxes. That is what makes me angry because these guys go over and strike a deal to circumvent the American people. They essentially would rather cut a deal in Hanoi then allow us to pay the $1.6 trillion in taxes and use the rest of the money for the betterment of the American economy."

"Besides alerting European banks about nonpayment, Cottrell said he didn't want to "tip his hand" on future plans to secure release of the $4.5 trillion, saying he fears the U.S. government would use this information to circumvent their plans.

In November of 2005, I read that a Roman Catholic high school in Sparta had ordered its students to remove personal blogs from the Internet, in the name of protecting them from cyberpredators. Which brings me to an important question, just how can you keep your child safe online?

The Internet is a "gateway" which leads the adult predator to your child. Parents need to recognize the need to better monitor their childrens online activity. I believe that websites like xanga, myspace, and livejournal, make it all too easy for sexual predators to prey on our children.

Children are vulnerable and they dont realize that anyone can and most likely is reading their blog entries. Both my children have blogs, however they are under moderation by both my husband and I. Frankly, as a parent of two teenagers I believe that it is up to us as parents to educate our children about the online dangers.

It reads: hi5 collects personal information when you register, when you use hi5, when you visit hi5 pages or the pages of certain hi5 partners. hi5 may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies. Once you register with hi5 and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us. hi5 collects information about your transactions with us and with some of our business partners. hi5 automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser.

Basically, they have spyware.

Hi5 collects your Hotmail or yahoo address lists and contacts. Once you register there is an e-mail that is sent to everyone in your address book. This e-mail is sent without your permission.

The website also requests, your hotmail and yahoo password. I never gave my password, I was not that gullible. However hi5 was still able to gather my information and contact those listed in my address book. I finally was able to delete my account, through the instructions in their help file.

In my opinion, hi5 is even worse than xanga and myspace.

I encourage all parents, whose children have an account on hi5, to log into hi5 and delete their childrens account.

Too much personal information is being revealed on these websites, making it a haven for sexual predators. Parents need to wake up.

I for one, am very concerned with websites like hi5, MySpace, Xanga, DeadJournal, Blurty, etc that encourage children to post their photos and personal information.

I strongly suggest that if your child uses the computer and you have not been monitoring their activity, it is time that you found out just what they are doing.

Phoenix Schools Roosevelt District In Serious Trouble With Arizona Department Of Education

The Roosevelt Elementary School District, located in the Phoenix Schools area on the south side of the city, is in serious trouble. The primarily low-income district has been dealing with turmoil for years, and the possible takeover by the Arizona Department of Education only exacerbates the situation.

Last December, Arizona Department of Education held a meeting in one of Roosevelts school gyms to present the situation to all concerned. Over 200 parents, teachers and other community members were present as Arizona Schools Chief Tom Horne, flanked by 25 of his top staff members, laid out the Phoenix schools Roosevelt districts problems. Five members of the Phoenix schools Roosevelt district board were present.

Horne, a Harvard-trained lawyer, did not mince his words as he presented slide after slide and graph after graph that illustrated the large negative numbers that concerned this Phoenix schools district. Many in attendance were visibly stunned by the enormity of the situation with which they and the district are faced.

One point that Horne hammered home to the five Phoenix schools Roosevelt district board members present, as well as the audience, was that other school districts were doing much better with similar resources. Three neighboring Phoenix schools districts have just as many impoverished families as the Roosevelt district. They have just as many students with English as a second language, who need the extra time, resources and coursework to learn English in order to succeed in the Phoenix schools. Yet, these three Phoenix schools districts have between 64 and 78 percent of their students performing at grade level in math for the third grade, with Roosevelt at 45 percent; and 62 and 72 percent in reading, with Roosevelt at 34 percent. The same is true in the other score measurements. In all 27 separate measurements, Roosevelt is substantially below the other three comparable Phoenix schools districts. That is nearly double the number of students showing academic achievement, as compared to Roosevelt. What really hit home for the people in attendance is that Roosevelt receives per student funding above the state average, yet no other district in the state has performed so poorly. In 2005, the Arizona Department of Education ranked 10 of the Roosevelt schools as underperforming. The district has only 21 schools. This was an unprecedented amount of underperforming schools in the Phoenix schools area.

Things must improve rapidly for the Phoenix schools district. Otherwise, the state will take over the district and all its schools. Horne is applying pressure to overhaul the districts practices and replace ineffective personnel. Meanwhile, Horne has called for legislation to allow the state to take over entire districts and school boards for poor student performance.

The Roosevelt district has taken the threat of takeover by Horne to heart. This year, they have initiated many major changes, including:

New and innovative practices;

District educators are working together to develop a guaranteed and viable curriculum;

Teachers at all levels are involved in curriculum mapping, which helps a teacher understand what standards to teach students and when to teach them;

A standards-based progress report now replaces the number grade reporting system, helping teachers and parents understand the language of standards and create a consistency between district reports and the results of the statewide test; and

A comprehensive curriculum guide was developed and implemented that includes standards and a curriculum pacing calendar.

Only time (and a very short time, at that) will tell if these changes will be enough to elevate the Phoenix schools Roosevelt districts underperforming schools. If not, then the district will be under new management the state.

There are many remodeling contractors in the world and, amazingly enough, they are not all quality. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find someone you can trust. The Better Business Bureau has listed remodeling as the #1 most searched industry and the #3 most complained about industry in the United States. So, how do you find the remodeler that will give you the most for your money? Answer: carefully.

One great place to start is to contact your insurance company. Big insurance companies have a few remodelers to whom they refer their claims. In order to be a part of this organization they have to pass multiple screenings and present themselves before a board of professionals. The insurance companies do not usually know these guys personally, but at least it is a good start. Typically, the contractors are at least ligitimate and can be found at a physical location.

Many people search the internet and fill out forms on referral websites. There are many referral companies out there, but I do not suggest seeking a remodeler, from what I call, a "contractor farm". It may seem like a good idea to "get free estimates from at least 4 remodelers", but the truth is that it opens a door for problems. The referral company is the only ones that have no risk. They will sell the lead that comes to their website to multiple contractors and then the bid war begins. The term "All's fair in love and war" applies to this method. Try to remember any horror stories you have heard about remodeling and see if this method would prevent or facilitate it. Most referral companies do not know any of their contractors personally. They have never met them face to face and have no plans to meet them. They have lost nothing if the remodeler doesn't get the job or if the homeowner hired a less than quality remodeler.

The best way to find a remodeler is to have a third party who has experience with the remodelers. If you know someone who has an understanding of what is required for the project and knows people in the industry that have great reputations, then I would solicit their help. Most people do not have a clue on what a good remodeler is supposed to look like or skills they need to possess. That is why many people are sold a bill of goods and end up being unhappy with the finished product. This is the safest way to hire a remodeler, but most of us do not have friends in the industry.

I would suggest finding someone in a related industry that you already know has a good reputation. For instance, if you have an air conditioning company that you have used for years and they have been extremely good, then you may ask them if they know a good remodeler. Most subcontractors that have good reputations will not risk their reputation by referring someone they wouldn't trust themselves. Believe me, it is worth going through the process to find someone you can trust. However, don't just take their word for it. Take the time to meet with the referred contractor and ask as many questions as you would like. If you feel rushed or you feel he is avoiding your questions, then move on quickly. You do not want to work with someone who does not communicate well.

There are no guarantees, but if you will take the time to truly seek out a professional, there is a good chance that you will be happy in the end.

This novel approach to fiction writing is unique in that the entire novel is composed with letters written between main characters or a solitary writer.

One of the classic Epistolary Novels in Christian fiction is the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. In this work two demons are conversing by letter to learn ways to frustrate Christians. These letters provided unique insight into the lives of Christians and how we respond to the world around us and the frustration we sometimes feel when dealing with other Christians.

One element that is totally removed from an Epistolary Novel is the narrator. Each chapter is composes specifically of a letter from of the novel's main characters and presents a perspective unique to that author. There is no tool to lead the reader in any particular direction; they are influenced only by the words of your fictional character.

Another benefit of an Epistolary Novel is that you can present many unique points of view because each letter contains a prospective unique to the fictional author.

It may be difficult to think about how to manage a series of letters, you must learn how to take your plot and direction through the use of one or more voices. You have to work at keeping the characters and voices separated so each letter (chapter) bears the unique stamp of the character you have developed.

It is possible to develop an Epistolary Novel using only one character. In this scenario the novel may read much like a journal with an entire series of events being passed along in a time stamped dateline.

You will find there are several issues in the story that may not be resolved in subsequent letters. It may be several letters before an issue addressed in one letter is finally clarified. The intent is to present a realistic representation of the manner in which letter writing takes place.

A few authors have used the Epistolary Novel approach using email correspondence instead of standard form letters, but the truth is you can set your work of fiction in virtually any time period you choose.

For someone to receive a patent, as stated, they must fill out an application on their invention. The application will entail the details of the invention and how it is made. In addition, the person applying for a patent must make claims that point to what the applicant deems or regards as his or her invention. A patent may have many claims with it. The claims protect the patent owner and notify the public exactly what the individual has patented or owns.

If someone infringes upon patent and copyright law, it is usually enforced in a civil court setting. The owner of the patent will generally bring a civil lawsuit against the person who has infringed upon their patent and ask for monetary compensation. In addition, the patent owner can seek an injunction which would prohibit the violator from continuing to engage in any acts that would infringe upon their patent in the future.

Many patent owners will make licensing agreements (or contracts) with others. These agreements allow another person or company to use someones patented invention in return for royalties. In addition, some patent holders who are competitors may agree to license their patents to each other to expand both of their profits.

Most everything we use in our day to day life was invented by someone. That person had to seek out a patent for their invention. Patent and copyright laws protect inventors from having their ideas and inventions stolen out from under them. This makes the playing field more level for individuals. Cooking for a Crowd? Need Large Quantity Recipes? Why Not Create Your Own?

It is often hard to find just the right large quantity recipe for the theme of your party or for the "culinary experience" you are aspiring to offer your guests. Here are a few tips and suggestions on how to modify your favorite 4-6 serving recipes when you find yourself cooking for a crowd of 20 or more.

What constitutes a crowd? Of course it's all relative (your relatives, not mine). Seriously, if you are accustomed to cooking for one to three, cooking for 20-50 people may seem overwhelming. When cooking for a crowd, there are three important considerations; adequate cookware, sufficient refrigerator space and recipe selection.

Obviously you should seek out recipes geared towards feeding a crowd. It is often easy to find large quantity recipes for basic dishes such as lasagna and mashed potatoes. But what do you do if you have your heart set on using your favorite 4-serving recipe for Corn and Black Bean Polenta for a party of 25?

Even for expert cooks, modifying a recipe for large quantity cooking is not just a matter of endless multiplications. If you expand a recipe too much--you are bound to run into trouble and end up with an off tasting or a poorly flavored dish.

For a basic dish like mashed potatoes, it would be acceptable to multiply all of the ingredients in a 4-serving recipe by two, thus doubling the recipe to serve 8. However, recipes are not indefinitely expandable (or shrinkable for that matter) and enlarging a recipe any more then 2-4 times is not recommended.

You may also use recipe converters which are easily found online. The converters however, simply "do the math", multiplying each ingredient amount by the increased number of servings you enter into the converter. It does not take into account, for example, the pungency or texture of the ingredients. If a 4-serving recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of finely chopped rosemary and you want to triple the recipe to serve 12; 3 tablespoons of rosemary will probably overwhelm all the other flavors and seasonings in the dish.

It is a good idea to be cautious when multiplying ingredients like salt, flour, cornstarch, eggs, seafood, meats, robust herbs, oils, onions, garlic, celery and peppers. Some ingredients will impart enough flavor, texture or body when only increased a fraction. In addition some of these ingredients can be added a little at a time as you continually check for taste.

What if you want to serve 25 people with a not-so-simple, 4-serving recipe with numerous ingredients? Doubling or tripling more complex recipes could get complicated. One trick is to batch cook. Batch cooking requires planning ahead and cooking in advance. It may also mean freezing prepared dishes. It is also a matter of "doing the math".

To serve 25 with a 4-serving recipe, you can cook 5-6 individual batches of that recipe or, you can expand the recipe (no more then 2-4 times) and cook in batches accordingly. For example, to serve 25 from a 4-serving recipe, double the recipe to 8 and cook three batches or, triple it and cook two batches. To serve 18 with a 6-serving recipe, cook it three times or cook one 6-serving batch and one batch that has been doubled to serve 12. You get the idea.

It is almost impossible to double or triple recipe ingredients for cakes, cookies, pie dough, or breads, without meeting with utter disaster. It's a chemistry thing. Instead, prepare a single batch repeatedly until you have enough food to feed your guests. Again, cooking in advance is the key.

Chances are you can successfully double or triple the ingredients of recipes for individual appetizers, such as stuffed mushrooms or crostini; and for snack mixes, dips, salsas, punches, one serving-size pieces of meat, poultry or fish, tossed salads, pasta salads and vegetables dishes.

If you are cooking for a crowd of 25 or more you will most likely serve buffet style. It is the best way to serve larger crowds. On a buffet of numerous dishes, people will take smaller portions of each in order to sample everything. Also, not everyone will sample every dish. This means that every dish you prepare need not serve 25. You need only prepare a few large quantity dishes. Look for recipes that serve 8-12 and double them (or not).

With a calculator and a little ingredient know-how you can comfortably convert most of your party food recipes and present a tantalizing menu to your guests.
